Applications rose from 4,650 to 10,677 in a year. Posts stayed near 490. You need at least 186 in each paper to remain appointable.

The MSRA decides who reaches interview. Under the current published model, final rank comes from portfolio and interview; NHS England's final 2027 pages are due 2 October.

MSRA rank makes the first 2027 cut. A self-assessment score of 19 or less stops the application. Only the top 350 reach verification.
