The ProMSRA Clinical Review Team is the organisational author of our open recruitment guides. The team maintains the guides for doctors applying through Oriel, including UK graduates and international medical graduates.

What we check

Recruitment rules can differ by specialty and can change between rounds. Before publication, each guide is checked against the current documents available from NHS England, specialty recruitment offices, the GMC, Oriel and other named primary sources. Where a figure comes from an FOI response, parliamentary material or a reputable secondary report, the guide links to it directly and says what period it covers.

How dates and uncertainty are handled

Every guide carries a visible review date. Confirmed 2027 rules are kept separate from previous-cycle arrangements. If an official body has not published a date, allocation rule or regulation, the guide says that it remains unpublished rather than presenting an estimate as settled fact.

Drafting and review

Research, comparison and copyediting tools may assist the drafting process. They do not replace source verification or final editorial judgement. Factual claims are checked against the linked material, promotional copy is kept separate from recruitment guidance, and unsupported certainty is removed before publication.

Corrections

If an official document changes or a reader identifies an error, the team checks the source, corrects the guide and updates its visible review date and structured data. Corrections can be sent to support@promsra.com with the page URL and supporting source.

Independence

ProMSRA is published by GK's Study Centre LLC. It is independent of NHS England, the GMC, Royal Colleges and the official MSRA examination board. The guides explain public recruitment information and do not reproduce examination questions or proprietary marking material.
